It’s been a little while since our last post.

Part of that is simply because the rhythm of the ministry has taken over. What started as something new and unfamiliar has now become part of our weekly lives. The tables are set, the coffee is poured, the conversations happen — and before you know it, another week has gone by.

When we first started Neighbors Table, it was simple. A few people, a folding table, hotdogs, and a desire to respond to a call: go and make disciples. We didn’t have a roadmap. We didn’t have infrastructure. We certainly didn’t have a long-term plan.

We just showed up.

And week after week, the Lord has met us there.

Since those early days, we’ve seen a steady flow of guests. Familiar faces, new faces, stories that stay with you, and moments that remind us why consistency matters. What once felt uncertain now feels like something that has taken root.

And with that… comes growth.

A New Step

Starting the first week of April, our Thursday night table will be moving locations through a partnership with Start Me Up Niagara. We’ll be serving at the parking lot of 203 Church Street in St. Catharines.

This move comes after a season of ongoing complaints tied to our previous location — not from the broader community, but from a single source that created consistent pressure. While we remained compliant throughout, it became clear that continuing there would create unnecessary friction.

Rather than push against that, we felt it was time to move forward.

Partnering with Start Me Up Niagara gives us something valuable — not just a location, but a bit more freedom to serve with focus and stability. And for that, we are grateful.

A Growing Season

As the ministry grows, so do the practical realities that come with it.

From day one, Neighbors Table has been self-funded, and by God’s grace, we’ve always had what we needed, when we needed it. That hasn’t changed.

What is changing is the scope. More movement. More coordination. More flexibility required as we adapt to weather, locations, and the needs of our guests. Moving between spots, carrying supplies, keeping food at temperature, and making sure people are where they need to be at the right time — it all starts to overlap in ways that are manageable, but not always simple.

It’s one of those moments where you can feel things stretching a little — not in a bad way, but in a way that reminds you this is no longer just something small and contained.

It’s growing.

Looking Back, Looking Ahead

When we look back at where this started, it’s hard not to be humbled. There was no structure, no long-term thinking, just a willingness to go.

Now, there’s rhythm. There’s consistency. There are relationships.

And now, there’s also the responsibility that comes with something that has taken root.

We don’t have all the answers for what comes next. But that’s not new. It’s actually how this whole thing started.

A Simple Ask

If you’ve been following along, praying, volunteering, or supporting in any way — thank you. You’ve been part of this whether you realize it or not.

As we step into this next season, we would simply ask:

Please pray.

Pray for wisdom as we navigate this transition.
Pray for continued provision in ways that make sense for what’s ahead.
Pray that we remain grounded, steady, and faithful in what we’ve been called to do.

We’ll keep showing up.
Same heart. Same mission. Just a new chapter.

And we trust that, just like in the beginning…

God will meet us there.
